About Us

Veltre's Pizza - Plum, PA has been a proud Oakmont staple since 1982, but our family’s love for good food and great pizza started long before that. After graduating from the University of Pittsburgh in 1975, I opened Veltre’s Brothers Pizzeria in Pittsburgh with my brothers. Those early years taught us the value of quality ingredients, hard work, and the importance of treating every customer like family.

In 1978, I decided to bring those same family recipes and traditions to Oakmont by opening my own location. Since then, Veltre’s Pizza has remained committed to the same principles we were founded on: handcrafted food made with care, authentic flavors passed down through generations, and a dedication to serving our community.

Today, we’re honored to bring our signature pizzas, wings, cheesesteaks, and classic pizzeria favorites to Plum, Oakmont, and New Kensington. I have been wanting to eat here for quite some time now. Well today we tried Veltre's Pizza Plum for the first time & OMG they did not disappoint! Where do I even begin... I called in to place the order & the customer service was great. The girl was very patient & helpful when I was trying to specify some small specific details about what I was asking for. When I arrived the place was immaculately clean, seriously just spotless. My order was ready way ahead of schedule, I mean like 20 min ahead of time getting packed up as I was getting there. We tried the Sicilian pizza, Italian hoagie, Shrimp Alfredo Pasta & Eggplant Parmesan. And yep, I wanted to try more, but there will be a next time cause let me tell you... when I say everything was fresh, hot & delicious, it's really an understatement, it was perfection! The portions are generous which line up with the price & quality. I love how the pasta comes with soup or salad along with garlic bread. And yes, you can truly taste how it's homemade. It's very hard to impress me, but I have to give it them, they did that. I also love how they actually honor vets. And if you don't wanna pay a credit card fee, don't, it's not mandatory - just bring cash! I def wish they had dining because the atmosphere is very clean & lively, but hopefully one day. Until then I'll continue to order take out & aim to try everything on the menu at least once till I loop around on repeat. ~ Jennifer
